Educational service only
Shoonyaka provides general educational and wellbeing information. It is not medical, psychological or therapeutic advice; it does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition; and it does not create a clinician–patient relationship.
Your safety and responsibility
Use Shoonyaka only when seated or lying safely. Never practise while driving, swimming, bathing, operating equipment or in any setting where altered attention or dizziness could cause harm. Never force, strain, hyperventilate or compete with a breath count.
Stop immediately and return to natural breathing if you feel dizzy, faint, breathless, numb, panicked, painful or unwell. Seek appropriate care when symptoms are serious or persist.
When to seek guidance
If you are pregnant, under 18, have a heart, blood-pressure, neurological, respiratory or panic-related condition, or are recovering from illness or surgery, consult a suitably qualified healthcare professional before breath retention or unfamiliar breathing practices. Emergency concerns require local emergency services—not Shoonyaka.
Chanting, stotrams and devotional material
Shoonyaka presents mantras and stotrams for study and personal practice. It is not a lineage, does not transmit initiation, and claims no religious, scriptural or ritual authority. Traditions differ on pronunciation, timing, eligibility and interpretation; where they differ, follow your own teacher or tradition rather than this website.
Translations on this site are deliberately plain-language readings intended to make a verse comprehensible. They are not authoritative, scholarly or liturgical translations. No spiritual, karmic or material result is claimed for reciting anything here.
Practice suggestions
The “today’s practice” chooser matches a plain sentence you select to a short practice sequence. It is not a diagnosis, a screening tool, an assessment or a clinical recommendation, and it does not evaluate you in any way. Suggestions are fixed editorial pairings, not personalised advice.
Where another website links to a Shoonyaka practice, that link carries no claim that the practice remedies, cures or resolves anything, astrologically or medically.
No guaranteed outcomes
Experiences vary. Descriptions of possible benefits are not promises or guarantees. You are responsible for choosing whether, when and how to use each practice.
Acceptable use
You may use Shoonyaka for lawful personal purposes. Do not interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, distribute malware, scrape it in a way that harms availability, misrepresent its content as professional medical advice, or infringe intellectual-property rights.
Intellectual property
Unless otherwise indicated, Shoonyaka’s original interface, writing, branding and software are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Traditional practice names and concepts are not claimed as proprietary.
Availability and external services
The service may change, pause or end without notice. Offline operation is best-effort and not guaranteed. External links and hosting, font or browser services are controlled by third parties; Shoonyaka is not responsible for their content or availability.
Disclaimer and limitation
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Shoonyaka is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted access, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose or specific outcomes. Liability is limited to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Changes and contact
Terms may be revised as Shoonyaka develops. Continued use after a revision means you accept the updated terms. Questions may be sent to upendrachokka@gmail.com.
