The practice
Sit with the eyes closed and bring attention to the space inside the skull. Not to the brow, not to a point — to the whole enclosed interior volume. Hold it there steadily. Firmness is the instruction; the perception the verse promises comes from not moving.
What it works on
A larger and more forgiving target than the brow-point practices, which makes it a good bridge for anyone who finds those too fine or too tense.
Notes
- If it becomes effortful, widen the space rather than gripping it harder.
Practise gently
Shoonyaka offers educational and contemplative material, not medical, psychological or religious authority. Nothing here diagnoses or treats any condition. Stop any practice that leaves you dizzy, frightened or unwell, and treat a strong reaction as a reason to rest rather than to push on.
